'Mothers Day' Tag Swap

Hi Everyone, I've been really busy lately, end of year for work accounts to get up to date.  Have just finished making some Tags for a swap with Kim aka MoeScrap on the Paperphenomenon site. www.paperphenomenon.com The swap theme is 'Mothers Day' First time I've done anything like this & it was great fun.  There are 8 of us taking part so I had to send 7 all the same over to the USA.
I am also using my one for a Frilly & Funkie Challenge.
So here are some photos of the creation of my tag.
First I used Antique Linen Distress Stain all over the tag, then used Vintage Photo for added colour stamped with Gathered Twigs.

Embossing with my Vagabond.

Inking over embossing with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  Also added Black Soot around the edge.

Inked white trim with Distress Stains

I printed a verse onto some book cloth with my inkjet printer, then stitched it onto two pieces of muslin that I had coloured with Distress Stain. Added four brads to the corners, then attached it with some ScorTape to my tag.

Here I used Archival Ink for the stamp and then used the water colour technique using Distress Ink pad and some Distress Stain as well.

Then to age it I used Distress Ink in Antique Linen & went over the entire image. I then cut them out and went around the edges with a black ink pen.

Made a little tag for the back with my details on.

Hi Day 9, Perfect Pearls today its all about shimmer and metalic.
Did not have a light colour for the crackle so I used Walnut I still like the effect especially with the Broken China stain next to it.

Day 8 in Creative Chemistry 101 with Tim Holtz.  Paint Primer very cool, can really do something special with these techniques. So here are mine so far.

'Stained Kraft Resist Technique'
Used 'Tattered Time' cardstock
Just finished Day 5, I am getting a little behind. So here they are.  I loved the 'Stained Kraft Resist Technique even though I did not have the Kraft Resist cardstock I used  cardstock Tattered Time and I was very pleased with the results.  Will have to get some of the Kraft Resist though this technique has soo many possibilities.
The next one was 'Stampng with Stains Technique' once again fabulous, loved the Picket Fence Distress Stain used in this. Cant wait do more with this.
The last one was 'Marbled Stains Technique' this was good too, I could have used more product for this to get a better marble effect as it soaked in quickly. But still like the result.
Till next time...

Here is Day 3 of Creative Chemistry 101.  These techniques were a lot of fun the range of what can be achieved is never ending.  As you can see I had a bird theme going on, I am pleased with the results.  The third Tag I am leaving until later as I dont have a texture fade so will be getting that next. Looking forward to me next class.
